Welcome back! I hope you've had a Happy Spring thus far and a Happy Easter! Easter is one of my favorite holidays because it's the time we corporately celebrate the death, burial, and resurrection of Jesus Christ!!
Here in the south on Resurrection Sunday better known as Easter Sunday, it's a tradition to get all dressed up in your best pastel garments and this year I did just that! Where the tradition came from? I have no clue! This year I went for a traditional, southern Spring/Summer look consisting of seersucker, stripes, polka dots, suspenders, and wing tips. I absolutely love this seersucker suit because the stripes are horizontal rather than the usual vertical stripes. The most unique thing I did with this outfit is pair the suit with an earthly grey toned shoe rather than brown for once. Going with grey rather than brown gave a softer approach. This look is a go to look for weddings, church, and any other ritzy events held during spring and summer. In addition to styling myself I styled my best friend as well. Taniyuh graced the world in a soft pink, off the shoulder, skater dress. We completed the look with floral print ankle strapped shoes, and a black cape coat. Below you can check out our lovely gallery from the day and get our looks as well!
